Today, a year ago, I left Israel.
I left my house, the studio, sold my car, gave away most of my things, finished the projects, said goodbye.

Eight months ago I returned and bought a mobile phone.
Six months ago I bought a car, six weeks ago I moved to my new house, three weeks ago I sent the previous item. Eleven months ago I sent the first.

During these months, the item_52's mailing list grew bigger. I don't even know some of the people I send my items to, don't know who keeps them, who blocks them, who deletes, who prints.
For the last three weeks I found it very hard sending an item. Not because I didn't have anything to write about. My life was very emotional these weeks. Somehow I felt embarrassed writing and imposing my private life, thoughts, and confusion on other people, some of them strangers.
I read the previous item and discover the natural narrative leading to this change in the way of writing, the different interest and content.

To be able to free myself from thinking about who receives these items and what I should refrain from writing, I stop sending them tonight. From now on they can be more frequent, personal, abstract, silly, lazy, serious, long, short, dark, hating, funny and whatever they want to be.
They will all be found in the world of www.itemz.org. Just click and visit me every now and then.

The initial motivation for starting this project was my need for communicating. I wanted to keep my friends updated in what I do and where I am. To have an alternative channel of corresponding, a means to keep this channel alive. With time the nature of the items has evolved and became more public, responsible, committed.
I was eager to receive replies to the items. It was interesting to see which items draw more replies, who replies to which items, what kind of reply it is. It has been a wonderful means of communicating, of exchanging info and ideas, of experimenting with provocation.
Some of the people never replied, some reply almost always, some people extend the conversation started in the item, some just say hello.

I would just ask one thing of you before leaving you quietly, here is my request:
Please reply to this mail. Just press reply. You can also write a few words if you like.

Thank you all
Sorry for imposing content on you
Love
