The saying "An image is worth a 1,000 words" has challenged me and I've decided to see what happens with it's opposite; how many words are equivalent to 1,000 images? one million? maybe just one?
actually it's not the numeric value that interests me, don't tell anyone, it's just an excuse to do something.
So, in October, in the "Bakery gallery", in Amsterdam, I will put 1,000 small photos on the walls, photos I've started taking here since July this year, all dealing with the Israeli - Palestinian conflict, or more accurate, how I (my camera) see it.
To make it interactive, user friendly and challenging I will invite the visitors to choose a picture, take (buy, very cheap) it off the wall and write a text on the wall instead.
While risking myself, going where I shouldn't be, when I shouldn't go, semi protected by the camera and trying pathetically to look like a foreign journalist, I try to see how this conflict looks like.
I have 330 photos by now, one month to wrap it up and put them on the walls in the Bakery.
Every picture holds a whole story for me, when I was there, what happened, why I chose to take it, what happened after, and I'm curious to see what stories will the Amsterdamers see in them, what textual interpretation will they enhance my images with.

Can you exchange this image for example with a text ?
If you send it to me, I'll reply with my story of this image.
