The Mimuna is usually a traditional holiday of the Moroccan Jews, celebrated on the ending of Passover. It is a colorful festival of hospitality, sweets and music. The Mimuna is also traditionally being invaded by flocks of politicians who come to raise the support of the Moroccan Jews.
We, the Alternative Elections, have decided to bring this event earlier this year, because the elections were also brought earlier without consideration of the anxious politicians who were left with an election campaign but without the Mimuna !
we have also announced our Mimuna to be what it really is: a political parties market, with our politicians as the hosts, offering sweets, tea, water pipe and bribe without shame and out in the open.
Our Mimuna was held on a beautiful mid-January Friday, on the beach, 10 days before Elections.
